About us and this Privacy Notice

Fearless Futures Limited, company registration number 9214581, works within organizations to engage people in critical thinking to understand and challenge the root causes of inequities and to grow powerful new leadership for transformative change.

We are the data controller for personal data about our clients; prospective clients; prospective, current, and former employees; facilitators; event/training attendees, and recipients of our “Newsletter” emails. Our ICO Registration Number is ZA539933.

This Privacy Notice provides information for when you enquire about our Services, either via this website or otherwise, sign up to receive our newsletter or apply for a job.

What personal data do we hold and why?

Your name and contact information, provided by you, will be used to respond to your enquiry, requests for further information, and to communicate with you during the provision of our services to you. This includes providing you with our Newsletter of news associated with our Services.

We do this on the lawful bases of contract and legitimate interest. 

With whom do we share it?

Your data is shared with a number of third-party service providers in order for us to carry out our core business. This includes the provision of email and storage solutions. These are selected for, and monitored on, how they meet the requirements of current data protection legislation, including the requirements of the GDPR. 

Where this includes storage or processing of information outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), we include checks to ensure that compliance with the appropriate frameworks for exchange of personal data (such as the EU-US Privacy Shield) is in place.

Exemptions to the above are where we are asked to provide information as a result of a court order or to recover monies due.

We do not share nor sell your personal data to anyone else. We do not trade personal data for commercial purposes and will only disclose it if required by law, necessary to arrange your event/training attendance, or with your consent.

How long do we store it for?

We will store your personal information for a maximum of six years after your last communication with us, or from the date of completion of our services, whichever is the latest. If you wish to stop hearing from us prior to that time then email security@fearlessfutures.org

Whilst we store your information, we store it securely to prevent unauthorised use.

Newsletter emails

You can always opt out at any time from receiving the Newsletter emails by using the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of each email.

If you are just visiting our website

We do not collect any of your personal data unless you specifically supply it.

Our websites include hyperlinks to, and details of, third party websites. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the privacy policies of third parties.

Fearless Futures’ website only uses functional cookies. Our WordPress website is hosted by GoDaddy whose cookie policy can be found here: https://wordpress.org/about/privacy/cookies/. If you have applied for a job

If you have sent us your CV, or we have received your CV from a recruitment agency, we will use the contact details you provide to us to contact you to progress your application. We will use the other information you provide to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for.

The information we ask for is used to assess your suitability for employment. You don’t have to provide what we ask for but it might affect your application if you don’t.

We do not collect more information than we need to fulfill our stated purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary. If you are unsuccessful, we will hold your CV for a further six months.

If you are successful, we will provide you with details on the further information we will require, why, and what we will do with it during the offer process and your employment.

Your Rights

You have a number of rights in relation to your personal data that is under our control:

  • You have the right to access personal data held about you;
  • You have the right to have inaccuracies corrected for personal data held about you;
  • In certain circumstances you have the right to have personal data held about you erased; and
  • You have the right to object to direct marketing being conducted based upon personal data held about you.

We do not use automated decision-making so the rights around this as well as the right to data portability do not apply to the personal data we hold as detailed above.
